Eco Offers, Tree Planting and Habitat Restoration

Back in December 2023, we made some changes to our tree-planting initiative. Previously, we planted one tree for every order, but two key factors led us to rethink this approach.

Firstly, the cost of tree planting through Ecologi increased by a staggering 150%. Unfortunately, this was not something we could sustain without raising our product prices, which we didn’t want to do. Instead, we took a step back to reflect on what we’ve achieved and how we can make an even bigger impact moving forward.

Secondly, as an ethically driven business, we always strive to do the best we can. While tree planting remains important, it takes years for the benefits to be fully realised. So, in addition to continuing our tree-planting efforts, we’re now directing a portion of our sales towards other vital environmental projects. This includes restoring UK wildflower meadows, wetlands, and wildlife habitats—something I’m personally very passionate about and thrilled to support!

Going for Gold

One of the main ways we actually reduce our business environmental impact is to actively reduce single use plastic in our business. We also recycle everything we possibly can and use recycled stationery and packaging products. As an eco shop it’s quite easy for us to use plastic free cleaning products as they are core products for our business. To help us set goals and be more accountable we enrolled with surfers against sewage and so far, we have achieved silver and we hope to push for gold!
