Description
Cast in resin and hand-painted in teal and gold by skilled Bali artisans, this classic Buddha statue features the highly symbolic Varada Mudra pose. The right arm extends downward, whilst the left hand has the palm and all five fingers angled downward and facing the viewer. The five extended fingers symbolize the five perfections: Generosity, Morality, Patience, Effort, and Concentration.
While welcoming this lovely Buddha into your home, it’s good to be aware of some Buddha etiquettes. These etiquettes revolve around treating Buddha statues with respect, such as placing them at an elevated position, avoiding placing them on the ground, and not putting your Buddha in the bathroom.
Buddha Etiquette
- Never place a Buddha statue directly on the floor, he must always be on some platform or pedestal.
- Always keep your Buddha clean and tidy, it’s thought to be disrespectful to allow dust to settle!
- Never put your Buddha in the bathroom, unless you want your good luck to flush down the toilet.
- Place a Buddha statue where it faces the front door of your home to attract chi or positive energy as soon as you enter your house.
- When placed in a room always have your Buddha facing the inside of a room to create positivity and harmony.
