How to Use Essential Oils on Your Skin

Patch Test First
Whenever you try a new essential oil, it is best to perform a patch test. Mix one drop of the essential oil with 2–3ml of carrier oil and apply it to the inside of your wrist or elbow. Wait 24 hours to check for any signs of irritation. If your skin remains calm, the oil is likely safe to use in small amounts on other areas.
